Founder & Visionary
Founded in 2020 by John Kennedy Munfano, Living Room Productions was established in response to a growing need for equitable, structured, and culturally relevant artistic spaces within Canada’s creative sector. Rooted in lived experience and community engagement, his vision was not simply to produce artistic events, but to build an ecosystem where creativity serves as a driver for social cohesion, professional development, and long term community resilience.

Under his leadership, Living Room Productions has developed into a bilingual cultural platform that bridges African and Canadian creative communities, addressing systemic barriers faced by emerging artists, including limited access to mentorship, infrastructure, and professional networks. By integrating artistic excellence with capacity building, education, and mentorship, the organization positions artists not only as creators, but as active contributors to the cultural and economic vitality of their communities.
