Living Room Productions (LRP) runs two bilingual programs that train, inspire, and connect emerging artists across film, music, and theatre. Each program helps build creative skills, confidence, and community impact
Alpha Program
The Alpha Program is a bilingual artistic development initiative created by Living Room Productions to support emerging artists in film, music, and theatre.
Through structured training, mentorship, and creative production, the program empowers young artists from diverse backgrounds including francophone, anglophone, immigrant, and Afro-Canadian communities.
Participants receive hands-on workshops, coaching from industry professionals.
LRP en action
LRP en Action is a summer program that introduces high school and college students to cinema and theatre as tools for social awareness and empowerment.Through writing, acting, and filmmaking workshops, participants learn how to turn real stories from their communities into powerful short films.
Each year, the stories created by the youth explore themes that reflect their daily realities such as domestic violence, school bullying, discrimination, mental health, and resilience.
Young & Excellent
Young & Excellent is a specialized program created by Living Room Productions to nurture the musical talents of children who have a passion for music. Designed for kids between the ages of 6 and 14, the program provides a safe, inspiring, and structured environment where young musicians can explore, learn, and grow through hands-on music education.
BUSINESS OF ART
The Business of Art Program is designed to equip emerging artists with the essential professional skills they need to build sustainable careers. Many talented creators struggle not because they lack creativity, but because they lack the business knowledge necessary to navigate contracts, branding, negotiations, financial management, and the Canadian cultural industry.
